I'll throw my two cents in: www.arbusa.comI'll ask this here since I don't know where else to ask it. I just received my ARB catalog in the mail and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they offer a complete line of off-road gear, a fact that had escaped me as I looked at their site for bars. I've gotten a good feeling about ARB, both from their own data as well as from other posters at various sites. I'm sufficiently new to all this that I'm afraid of being hoodwinked by slick marketting. As it stands now, I'm inclined to not only get the ARB Bull Bar, but also the Air Locker (with underhood compressor), the OME lift components, the recovery equipment, the roof rack, and even the freezer. So, am I suffering from newbie-itis? Am I being blinded by slick marketting? I'm not worried about buying too much, but rather of buying stuff that is either a) not as good as it sounds, or b) can be found elsewhere for much less $$$ while not sacrificing quality. So, that being said, a newbie awaits enlightenment! ;D Oh! It stunned me even more to discover TWO places here in Miami/Fort Lauderdale that offer the full ARB line, so I have access to this stuff should I desire to get started! ;D

ARB seems to be pretty solid stuff overall. The air locker is the only selectable locker out there for Isuzu axles. The biggest problem with them is air leaks in the control system. The freezer works very well, at ZuZoo V we had some people handing out ice cream bars after lunch on a trail ride in Canyonlands National Park, miles from any electricity...hard to beat that!

Is that a common problem?
ERS, sorry for the hijack, but maybe it's time for some kind of General Discussion forum, limited only to Trooper-related topics and such...
