Representing all of the Big Three, in some fashion, this dealership's service department acts like it.
It took five weeks to get a main bearing replaced.
At least I was still in the 60,000 mile window.
The bill was something like $3800.
Why they didn't throw in a new motor is beyond me. Would've been cheaper.

Search your countryside to find a reputable independent mechanic knowledgable of isuzus. They do exist =) I'll never go back to the dealership i got my trooper from. I've been scammed way too many times.
The last straw --- Ted Russel Ford/Isuzu, Knoxville Tennessee. Stripped the lame lock nuts on my front tires 2 times within the same month, had to replace the key and it stripped after the first time. after the second time, i had them replace the 4 key lug nuts with regular ones. Total price? $90. labor was 30-something. I've personally never been in an auto parts store and seen a lug not costing more than $2. this was just the last drop in the bucket though, they only did one service for me that was done without something making me furious, which was an alignment. Still, it was 65 bucks. SInce then found a good tire shop that will get your stuff neatly within specs for 35. Moral of story(ies) - find a little place that has a good rep for not ripping people off, and support them.

the reason they didnt drop a new engine in is because isuzu didnt want them to. and ive found more times then not with isuzu it is better to take them to a dealership then a small shop because ive seen what small shops can do and what dealerships have to do to fix the problem they made worse. i guess thats because the dealership i work at and my father works at was ranked in the top ten i believe on the east coast for csi.
