96 Acura SLX (Trooper), drove home last night, no headaches, this morning, it will not start, gives off twelve beeps...won't even attempt to activate the starter...What do I do?? I've tried relock/unlock in case it was security...unhooked negative batt cable...got plenty of juice in the battery...I'm totally lost here HELP!

oil, brake, battery, & 4wheeldrive lights are all on after attempting to start...don't go off...is that normal??

Might be normal, they all come on as a test during starting to make sure they aren't burned out...assuming you can tell if any are missing!
Check out your interlocks...if auto tranny you will have a brake interlock, if manual you will have a clutch interlock that will prevent starting if you don't have your foot on the correct pedal...if the interlock gets messed up it can prevent starting properly.

As it turned out, it was the alternator. It completely went dead with no warning. Bench tested the darn thing and it was dead dead dead. Replaced with new alternator and that new alternator from Pep Boys is now acting up...I'm unsure as to what is causing the ALT to go nuts...

hey mate. replace it with a genuine part. I did mine and it cost $900 australian but it has been fine since, touch wood. Timma
