HELP!! I have a 98 trooper and my "stainless steel" exhaust is falling apart at the joints. Truth be told, I'd love to get a performance set up: headders to the tail pipe, but I'll settle for a good replacement system that won't cost me another mortgage! I know I need to replace at least one manifold gasket, so replacing the manifolds might not be a bad idea either. The mufler is definately hammered. Anyone got any ideas??

You might be able to find Pacesetter or Bob Land headers, but people havent reported much gain with them. I would stick with the stock manifolds.
You could get a high flow cat from Independent4x and whatever performance muffler you desire. I really liked the Dynomax Super Turbo on my 99, with a 2.5" pipe. Any custom exhaust shop can do it for you. No full kits are available AFAIK. Calmini has a cat-back, but it is pretty pricey.
Either way remember you have to accomodate the 4 oxygen sensors.

I tried finding those Bob Land Headers, I can't find them anywhere. When I dropped the new motor in, I started it up and heard the exhaust leak. I'm pretty confident that its a manifold gasket leak, which tell me I'm an idiot for not having the manifolds re-planed. I just figured that if I had to pull them off again I'd look into some options. And I can't find a good replacement manifold without going direct to isuzu. I called Calmini today, they say they don't make anything for the post 97 years. p.s. Thank you for the advice
