Hi, After a small accident I got my 93 DOHC 3.2 back from the autobody place with a little air intake thing exposed. I say exposed because it is the only shiny thing in the engine area. clearly something was pulled off, and now there is just a little 1" intake sticking out conspicuously. There's a suction when the engine is going. I can't find any loose hoses. I'm wondering if it was just a little rubber nipple that used to be there to terminate the intake. I looked in my shop manual and all I've found so far is some instructions on disconnecting the air vacuum hose from this intake to the common chamber. I can't find any areas on the common chamber that look like they could accept a hose. If someone wants to help me with this I can scan the pic from the shop manual and take a pic of the part in the engine and post them. This is on the driver side about half way in, just above where the front most spark plug is. THANKS!

Sure looks like a hose was there, unfortunately I am not very familiar with that engine...although I hope to be soon (anybody have a 93 RS they wanna sell?).

That is kind of funny to me, because just last week, my mechanic noticed that mine was missing also. Could not find a hose or anything disconnected. So he blocked it off with a rubber cap. It seems to run fine. But for the record, mine is a SOHC.
