Help! New to the forum, like what I see. I have a 2000 Trooper with 48K miles on it, the enigne light is coming every once and a while....why? It also is starting to idle funny, a little rough and when I put it into park the rpms drop real low and it almost stalls..... ? I have a appointment at the dealer next friday, it is still under warranty and has two open recalls that will get fixed.... I will be installing a Calmini lift this spring too, so I need her to run for a while yet! Any help would be appreciated! Matt

Could be the intake manifold gasket. Common problem on Troopers. Mine has gone out twice.
The good news is that the gaskets have been improved so hopefully it will not re-occur again...

Kinda what I suspected. I just had the car washed and the light was flashing at me....it would go off when I took my foot off the gas....weird. It was idling so low I went to put the windows up and it stalled, while in park

Talked to the dealer this morning the two recall repairs were: 1.) Fuel Hose 2.) Fuel Hose shield Repairs for bad idle: 1.) Intake Manifold Gasket CODE was 1151 & 1241 2.) Leaky Fuel Pressure Regulator CODE was P0300.
She runs so much better, idle still seems low, but at least it's steady, anyone know what rpms the idle should be at?
Now I can start saving for the Calmini kit!

Ahh, so you had both the bad IMG and FPR...my FPR has gone out also, though not at the same time as the IMG.
Both problems are common on Troopers, fortunately neither problem is serious to the point where the Trooper won't drive...

My check engine light is on and is triggering about 8 different sensors, but the shop thinks that it is one sensor making all the others go bad, but no one can tell me which one.
Go figure.
THing still runs great and the guy at Blackmon Isuzu said, "Just put some tape over the light."
THat is why I don't go to them anymore.
