Hi.... got another question, hope someone can help.. Is it characteristic of the trooper to take a little while to start? My Troop cold starts very fast but when warmed up it takes a little while. My computer diagnostic turned up a code that I should change the EGR valve. Would this be sort of a problem that contributes to long start up time? Thanks for any help.

If it consistently took a long crank to start I would say it is your fuel pressure regulator...but if it starts quickly when cold that can't be it.

Weird. I thought it was just me. Seemed like all summer it'd take maybe three seconds to start, whereas lately, it's been the first crank. Wonder what that's about.... Maybe O2 density in the intake.... Any physicists on the board?

I have exactly the same condition . Quick almost agressive morning starts and long 2-3 second starts in the afternoon. I tried replacing: battery, plugs and wires. NO change. I guess Things could be worse.
