Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) concerning the installation of aftermarket sun/moon roofs?
My Troop doesn't have one, and I'd really like the extra light/ventilation, but only if leaks don't become an issue.
Other useful information would be to spell out what to look for in a reputable installer.

I'd check with some auto glass places in town. A lot of them will install sunroofs.
There's this really cool vinyl roll-back roof thing somwhere on the web I'm trying to find. You could potentially have your entire roof be open. How cool would that be for 'wheeling?!?
Of course, you'd want to install some sort of roll cage, because I'm sure if a guy were to hack the entire center section of his roof out, he'd probably run the risk of lessening some of the structural strength in the event of a rollover.

There is an audio place here in Knox that I highly trust called American Radio. Small shop. awesome service & work. They install sunroofs. Dont know where you are zaphod but call around to some of the well known car audio specialists and see if they do these, its a starting point.
ERST - please post up any links if you find the web site you mentioned!

Check out www.webasto.comThey have a large array of aftermarket sunroofs and the provide a list of dealers and installers. To avoid the leak problem I have recieved recomendations to go with a sunroof that opens above the roof as opposed to in between the roof and the interior lining.
