Had a great time with a TJ owner named Beau from my club, TrailKrawlers 4x4. We tackled some stuff, man, and it was amazing. I was constantly surprising him and the other people at the park with stuff I was able to get up in the Trooper. Pics don't convey difficulty well, nor do they show angles, steepness, etc. It was awesome. Every time I go out, I'm more an more impressed by the Trooper and my driving improves. Get out and wheel and much as you can, fellas! Nov 11th Tuttle Pics

Hi! What part of Nebraska is Turtle Creek in? If it is east it might not be too far for me. I am in the Minneapolis area.
If you are game, we could go up to the ORV park in northern Minnesota some time. There is another guy up here who probably would go also, he has an Amigo.

Actually, it's in Northeast Kansas, outside a little town called Randolph, which is close to Manhattan, home of Kansas State. Minneapolis would be one heckuva drive. I'd love to come up that way some time. Got some places to go?

Dang, that is kinda far. There are only a couple of public places in MN, but the new ORV park on the Iron Range is open: www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/iron_range/gilbert/index.htmlIt's about 3+ hours north of Minneapolis, so a long drive for you though. There also is a state forest in central MN where 4WD trucks are allowed.

It's really cool how the MN DNR actually gets involved in that. IronRange looks like alot of fun. Hope I can get up there sometime.

Yeah, I think they hope by offering this "sacrificial lamb" they can siphon off some of the ATV riders doing damage in other places.
The Gilbert site is an old iron mining area, most of it is old tailings piles and such, so nobody minds if it gets torn up a little.
They are also planning to add another tract of land nearby that will be linked to the Gilbert site within the next few years.
