A PowerTrax LockRight for the rear axle of a pre-'92 Trooper is supposed to work in '92+ Trooper front axles. The only locker currently available for a '92+ Trooper rear is the ARB RD94. ARB also makes a front locker for '92+ Troopers, the RD85.

I wish i could afford lockers right now, but if i did that, i'd just go crazy and do a SASupfront, dana 60, swap in my 5.7L Chevy, and snorkel...so on. But, for now I am Glad to have my stock LSD rearend option. Pretty much an open differential for manueverability, but gives a little more grip to the slipping tire. Helps moslty on mud. I heard "welding" rear end differentails, but I like my trooper the way it is now(working).

Whoohoo...after searching the WIRE, and looking at my options plate in uder the hood, I found out I have LSD(not the drug, the Limited-Slip-Differential). Makes me realize how I make it through stuff that my dad's jeep cheerokee had to be in 4x4 to make. I want a banner that says "ITS AN ISUZU THING" to condridict what all those Jeeper's stickers say about it being a JEEP thing.
P.S. If your options include "G80" then you too have LSD.
note: some isuzus are e quiped with it, even though they were not listed as having it. Most likely troopers, since they are the "up" scales of isuzu.

you can get aftermarket LSD's to install as well, i think Auburn makes one (seems like i've seen it on maybe calmini and independent4x's sites)
not all troopers have the lsd (unfortunately) ... i have a 95 LS and so far have heard of no other LS owners that have an LSD. it seemed to come more on the "sport" versions, or something.

Independent 4x also sells factory LSDs. Nice to know in case ours go out.

hey guys, just a thought, if you are tight on cash and dont have a lsd but want to vastly improve the "rockability" of your trooper i would suggest looking at getting it welded up. if you dont know what that is just go to your local 4x shop and theyll explain it. i have it done in the front of my trooper and it handles the 37's fine, i also wheel with a lot of other guys, mostly jeeps, with 35 or larger tires and it does great. it cost me about 50 bucks to have done........
