I think it would be cool to be able to cruise with the doors off in the summer... okay it might look stupid but i wouldn't know til they actually came off. I've seen it done on 1st gen troopers. Anyone have knowledge on safely removing 2nd gen doors?

Hey man, i have a '95 trooper with a dana 44 swaped into the front and 37's. before that i had a calmini 3 inch lift which i (personally) consider a total waste of 800 bucks, but thats a whole other subject. anyway i have had all four of my doors with quick disconnects for about 2 years. it takes some work but its doable. you just have to find yourself a good electrician who knows what he or she is doing and can get you all the right connections so your wires will match up and all your electronics will still work. i live in the NC mountains so its great to be able to take the doors off and help see what you're doin when your wheelin plus it looks cool. it took me n my buddy the better part of an afternoon to make sure we had everything in check and working when we put the doors back on. my trooper is in the shop now getting new gears and the front end welded up but ill get you some pictures if you want so you can see what it looks like and how we did it.

the back is super easy as you can un-bolt, and bolt them back on while shut. The front is harder bc you have to either have someone holding the door, or have somthin to hold up up b/c you have to have it open. There are disconnects in the electrical, and there are two sets of lines in each door. the main thing when putting them back on is to make sure that the spacers are in the right places where they were bolted on (some bolts have spacers you will be able to see them) and you must make sure that the door is tightened up in the right position (I just push up as hard as I can on the bottom of the door and it always works fine) so it will close correctly. I am working on replacing my front hinges with jeep style ones, it involves some fab but will make the whole thing much easier as I will be able to just lift them off
