that bracket is nothing to worry about, its only to give the rear brake line a solid place to tie into, i wouldnt worry about it as the rear bumpstops will leave enough room back there so you dont have to worry about it getting pinched, it doesnt actually extend the line itself, if that is what you want you will have to buy a whole new line, but dont worry about it b/c with the little amount of lift that you are doing it wont make that much of a difference.

Yeah you shouldn't have to do anything with the brake lines for just the OME coil lift. I drove my 99 for 50K miles that way, no problems.
If you get bigger rubber the Indy4x brake lines can give you a little more stopping power because they don't expand like the stock ones when you stomp on the brakes.
You will like it alot I think, no more bottoming out for sure!

$65.92 per coil, at www.4by4connection.com, just ask'em about the part numbers/application. Shipping on my order was $23.

TEXTTEXTScooter and Bigswede, you were totally right. Today we installed the OME rear coils, 4 gas shocks, cranked the Tbars 1" to level, and mounted 32x11.50x15's on 15x10 aluminum rims. The ride is much smoother, with very little lean in the turns. So far, the left front rubbed a little once, when it was compressed and turned fullon to the left...if that continues, will go with the 1" spacers for the coils, and crank another inch up front. Never would have thought this tire/wheel setup would actually be lighter weight than the stock steel rims (16x7) with their slightly-bigger-than-stock tires. And going from 29" to these 32's, the power hasn't suffered, maybe because of the lighter weight. I would recommend this to everyone, it's more fun to drive, will take the turns faster, and rides better.
Am kinda looking at fender flares now, since it throws 4 rooster tails (it was raining when we took the test drive today). Oh, how will the second inch up front, affect the cv joints, if it comes to that?

thats cool man, Im glad you like it. As far as the extra inch goes, anytime that you lose some of that down travel and get further away from the angles that it was set for then its gonna put more stress on the parts (cv's), BUT dont worry about it too much b/c that extra inch isn't going to put you in big danger of hitting those points. Just as long as you have some good shocks to control those bigger tires then youll be ok. The ride will also get a bit stiffer, but not really enough for it not to be tolerable everyday. In general I would say that the only real time you are gonna begin to see problems is if you get up tot he point of maxin it out, but since you arent doing that then youll be fine, I would look into getting new brake lines though (if you havent already) the stock ones arent really up for much more than mall hopping...... good luck and post up some pics ..............

Cool, glad to hear it!
The offset of your wheels will affect rubbing issues also, as well as the need for fender flares...something to think about, though I would never discourage you from lifting it another inch... ;D

More backspacing would have been helpful, to set the tires in more, but that's not really an option right now. At the left front, not sure if another inch will even clear the area where it's rubbing, but there's one way to find out! What would you guys recommend for fender flares, around 3" wide, preferable without the exposed rivet look, and strong enough not to sag. Black's OK, maybe shoot'em later. Are there any with that superstrong 3M adhesive like window visors use, or do they all bolt on? Whose bergundy Trooper is pictured on the first page of this board?-those flares would be perfect.

Those are nice flares. That's for sure. BUT, you had better sit down for this. They will run you over $1000. And that does not include shipping from Iceland. And then they are not even made for the 94 model. They are made for the 98+. But I heard that there isn't many modifications needed to make it fit. They have really wide cut outs also. No one else makes a cut out for the second Generation Trooper. I spoke with Bushwacker a few months ago. And they agreed to manufacture them if I start a group purchase and get over 50 sets to start. Any other type flare isn't going to help you from rubbing.

What about the factory flares on 98+ Troopers? Maybe you could get those from a boneyard. Here is what they looked like on my 99:

Holy cowhide, $1K for flares is probably not gonna happen today, and tomorrow's not lookin' to good either! A wrecked one might be the ticket, though, anyone have a disabled trooper with decent flares?
